Set up IPTV on a Windows PC

This guide is for Windows computers. Sign in to the IPTV Smarters Pro app, or play your M3U link in VLC.

Before you start

A computer running Windows 10 or 11.
The IPTV Smarters Pro app for Windows, or the VLC media player.
From your delivery email: the username, password and server address, or the M3U link if you use VLC.

Step by step

IPTV Smarters Pro

Visit the official website iptvsmarters.com and open the Downloads page.
Download the Windows version and run the installer.
Start IPTV Smarters Pro and choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
Type any name, for example NXT IPTV.
Fill in Username and Password from your delivery email.
Type the server address from the email in the address field, including http:// and the port number.
Click Add User and wait while the channels load.

VLC

If VLC is not installed, get it from the official website videolan.org.
Copy the M3U link from your delivery email.
Open VLC, go to the Media menu and choose Open Network Stream. The shortcut is Ctrl+N.
Paste the link into the field and click Play.
Show the channel list with View and Playlist, or press Ctrl+L.

Ready to watch

Smarters shows Live TV, Movies and Series. VLC lists every channel in the playlist; double-click a channel to play it. VLC has no TV guide, so Smarters suits everyday viewing better.

Troubleshooting

Check the server address: http:// at the start, the port number at the end and no spaces.
Check the username and password. The M3U link in the email holds them too, after username= and password=.
In VLC, check that you copied the full M3U link, from http:// to the very end.
One subscription plays on one device at a time. Close the app on your other devices.
Restart the app, and check in My Account that your subscription is active.

Smarters gives you the TV guide, movies and series in a clear layout. VLC is handy for a quick check that your subscription works.

Does it work on a Mac?

Yes. IPTV Smarters for Mac is on the same website, and VLC for Mac works the same way.

Is IPTV Smarters Pro free?

Yes. The app is free to download and to use with your subscription.

Where is my M3U link?

In the delivery email sent right after your payment. The link starts with http:// and contains your username and password.
