Set up IPTV on iPhone and iPad

This guide is for iPhone and iPad. You install an IPTV app from the App Store and sign in with the details from your delivery email.

Before you start

  • An iPhone or iPad.
  • The free Smarters Player Lite app from the App Store.
  • Your username, password and server address from the delivery email.

Step by step

  1. Open the App Store, search for Smarters Player Lite and install it.
  2. Open the app and accept the terms if you are asked.
  3. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
  4. Type any name, for example NXT IPTV.
  5. Fill in Username and Password from your delivery email.
  6. Type the server address from the email in the address field, including http:// and the port number.
  7. Tap Add User and wait while the app loads the channels.
  8. Tap Live TV, choose a category, then a channel.

Tip: copy the details directly from the email. Press and hold the text, choose Copy and paste it into the matching field in the app.

Other apps

IPTVX and GSE Smart IPTV work too. Add a playlist of the Xtream Codes type and enter a name, the server address, username and password in the same way.

Ready to watch

The home screen shows Live TV, Movies and Series. Tap a channel to start it, and turn the phone sideways for full screen.

Troubleshooting

  • Check the server address: http:// at the start, the port number at the end and no spaces. If you copied it from the email, make sure no space was copied with it.
  • Check the username and password. The M3U link in the email holds them too, after username= and password=.
  • One subscription plays on one device at a time. Close the app on your other devices.
  • Close the app fully by swiping it up in the app switcher, then open it again.
  • Check in My Account that your subscription is active.

Which app should I use on iPhone?

Smarters Player Lite is free and easy to start with. IPTVX and GSE Smart IPTV are alternatives if you prefer another look.

Can I watch on my iPhone and my TV at the same time?

Not with one subscription, since it plays on one device at a time. For two devices at once you need two subscriptions.

Can I send the picture to my TV with AirPlay?

That depends on the app. Many IPTV apps support AirPlay, but if you have an Apple TV it is easier to install the app on it directly.

Can I watch on mobile data?

Yes, but TV streaming uses a lot of data. Use wifi unless your mobile plan has unlimited data.
